I just wanted to mention that my Blog on my teacher's website is going better than I thought. Some students are sending their responses to my blog. It is actually good to know students are checking teachers' websites and showing an interest in commenting, and expressing their thoughts and practicing English (This is a good opportunity for my students of course!).

I used wordle.net a couple of times in the class this week. Kids loved it. It is good for spelling and using uppercase or lowercase letters. One of the students were writing the name of his classes and he was very careful using a capital letter for class names. I reminded another student to make sure that all Proper names (her name, cities, states, etc.) should always be written with a capital letter no matter where you write them. Great fun website! Especially randomizing your words and giving you a lot of choices for grouping the words in a different way are fun!

Drum roll please!!!!!!!! The last step of "23 Things" is here.....
I read about Podcasts and YouTube. You Tube can be interesting to watch and listen sometimes but I don't think I am gonna record anything one of these days. In terms of podcasts, I can say that they can be educational at times. For example, I found English Language Learning podcasts that can be both entertaining (because students love to use computer and discover different websites) and informative for my students. They can listen to those sites to improve listening skills as well as vocabulary.
Learnoutloud.com has education related podcasts that I liked.

Wow!! This is week 8th. I am almost done with "23 Things". How about that?
Okay okay. Let me stop bragging:) Well, I checked out the interesting sites from the Web 2.0 awards list. There is a lot of information to look at. I liked the food and travel sites the most because I like cooking, especially baking, and I like to find good deals when I would like to travel.
Overall, helpful and informative sites to surf!!!

Vocabsushi looks helpful to increase the number of vocabulary that you know in general. It might be helpful to visit that site time to time. Each vocabulary is used in a sentence to clarify the meaning. Also there are articles that includes these vocab. Some of my students can benefit from this site to improve their vocabulary.

Yes. I agree Web 2.0 is the future of education. The article states incredible ideas how the internet and web related education can be. Everything sounds good but we are not there totally. The good thing is that we are on our way to Web 2.0 Education. The new generation is ahead of us when it comes to technology, that is for sure. But we are trying to catch up and close the gap, aren't we?:)
